Annual Giving: The Fund for UW-Parkside

Students are the greatest beneficiary of gifts to the Fund for UW-Parkside. Dollars directly support the things that students need for a quality, Parkside education — such as scholarships, new and innovative program development, attracting and maintaining top-notch faculty.

As we advance toward UW-Parkside’s 50th year in 2018, our students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends have many reasons to celebrate.

  • Since 2000, our pre-health students have had an 89% placement into professional programs including medical school (91%), physical therapy school (86%) and pharmacy school (88%).

  • Our business programs are internationally recognized and accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). Less than 1/3 of business schools in the U.S. are accredited by the AACSB and only 10% worldwide.

  • Your support has helped to launch what is now being called a model for educator development, the Institute of Professional Educator Development (IPED). IPED prepares students to become K-12 teachers, and also provides advanced professional development for in-service teachers. The Frances A. Jaeschke Endowed Scholarship, a renewable scholarship solely for students enrolled in the IPED program, helps to make education affordable.

  • Students have the opportunity to learn and create in the $37 million Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for the Arts and Humanities, a 200,000 square foot facility that includes art galleries, the acoustically-perfect Bedford Concert Hall, studios, labs, and classrooms for the arts and humanities.

Student success is all thanks to the hard work and generosity of our donors. Parkside provides an educational value to its students that is unparalleled. An affordable, high-quality education is an investment in one's future, and we believe the cost of an education should not prevent any student from achieving his or her educational and professional goals.

Your support helps keep a Parkside education within reach of all deserving students. Please consider the Fund for UW-Parkside as one of your top charitable priorities this year. Every gift truly counts—no matter the size.
